Tourists arrive in
Yangon by Charter flights
Yangon, 1 August
Under the supervision
of the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism and with the
sponsorship of the Ministry of Transport, a
chartered flight with 91 tourists on board arrived
at Yangon International Airport this morning under
the arrangement of Myanmar Lotus Asia Tours Ltd.
They were welcome at the airport by Director-General
of Directorate of Hotels and Tourism U Khin Maung
Latt, officials and personnel of Myanmar Lotus Asia
Tours Ltd.
Myanmar Lotus Asia Tours Ltd has made arrangement
for once-a-week chartered flight to ply
Milan-Yangon-Phuket-Milan itinerary during the
tourist season from July 2002 to March 2003 by
organizing a package tour.
This first itinerary starting from Milan of Italy
yesterday arrived at Yangon International
Airport today. Some of the tourists will, pay a
visit to Yangon-Mandalay-Bagan-Popa-Magway-Pyay
trip while others to Yangon-Bago-Mandalay-Inle
region trip. They will leave Yangon on 8 August.
Deputy Ministers of ministries concerned met with
them and extended greeting at the guest lounge
of the airport.
