Upper Myanmar, the city lies at the hub of river routes
from China and India and land routes from the Shan
massif and Siam beyond. Mandalay is the economic and
religious centre of Upper Myanmar. |

BAGAN

The World Heritage Site of
Bagan is the wonder of wonders in the "Golden Land".
Scattered across a vast arid plain stand over 3,000
magnificent monuments, which proclaim the piety and
power of Myanmar's first empire. |

TAUNGGYI

Taunggyi is situated over 1,400 meters above sea level.
It is reached by car from Mandalay or by plane to Heho
and then taking one hour drive. Taunggyi is capital city
of Shan State in the eastern part of Myanmar. It is a
popular summer resort. It is well known for its scenic
charm and pleasantly cool climate. |

INLE

Inle lake lies about 30km
south of Taunggyi. This vast picturesque lake with its
mesmerizing beauty is situated 1328 meters above sea
level and surrounded by hazy blue mountains. It is best
known for its floating villages and gardens on floating
islands. Inle lake has a fabulous backdrop of hills with
the floating gardens grow flowers, vegetables and
fruits. |
